Although the viewer can see three columns at the bottom, only two remain on top. It is interesting to see how the middle one dissolves into thin air without losing its contours. A round columns consists of two lines, while a cornered column displays two surfaces and three edges. Two times three edges makes six lines, and it takes six lines to draw the contours of three round columns.
